The Barcelona Ottoman was designed by the legendary modernist architect, Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, for the German pavilion at the 1929 International Exhibition held in Spain. The Barcelona Ottoman has become an icon of important chair design.
We can produce this Ottoman in black, pony hide, any of our colors, of your choice of COM (customers own material) or COL (customers own leather)
Our ottoman is a high quality reproduction using premium solid-core stainless flat steel, fully welded. Our frames are NOT made using lower cost chrome-plated hollow tubes and then bolted/screwed together. Multiple colors and grades of premium full top grain Italian leather are available for your design requirements. Each square of leather is hand selected, piped, tufted and individually sewn by expert leather craftsmen. Highly resilient foam is used to provide the proper amount of plush comfort and firm support. The cushion rests upon a suspended network of saddle leather straps.
FRAME: The polished stainless steel frame will not rust or chip. All joints are fully welded, sealed and sanded.
