Ming Vase High by Serralunga (26" x 39.4") Designer: Rodolfo Dordoni Our Ming vases are supplied by the Italian company Serralunga, who have been producing stylish planters since 1825. They have now commissioned some of the world’s leading designers to create the Serralunga Design range, which is a new line of vases and flower pots for both interior and exterior use. The Ming range has been designed by Rodolfo Dordoni and is available in three sizes, and also in black (see next entry). The pots are made from rotationally moulded polyethylene, and are strong, lightweight and will tolerate sub zero temperatures, and will have a much longer life than traditionally made pots. These are stunning planters which, as they look so good, you may decide that you’re going to forget about plants and use them as a furniture accessory! The Ming series can be appreciated for their generous dimensions, underlining the upper large border and for its traditional yet modern design which can be adapted in any given situation, either public or private. Modern design for the garden is here with a collection of overscaled planters by Italy’s most prominent architects and designers. Made from a lightweight thermoplastic that is weather and UV resistant, as well as virtually unbreakable, the planters are an eye-catching and functional design statement for a patio, public space, or retail display. The innovative Santavase by Denis Santachiara resembles hardware with a base that can be screwed into the ground, or supported in its own metal holder for interior use. Acclaimed designer Paolo Rizzatto's New Pots meld a traditional shape with exaggerated scale. Designer Rodolfo Dordoni’s Ming Vases take on a more traditional form suitable for lobbies and entryways.
